1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website, submitting a contact or assessment form, scheduling a consultation, or engaging Mountain MiniSplits for any services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. About Our Services
Mountain MiniSplits provides ductless mini-split system installation, consultation, and related services in Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico, and Central Virginia.
Our services include:
- Free in-home assessments and 3D visualization consultations
- Ductless mini-split installation (wall mount, low wall, ceiling cassette, ceiling recessed)
- System recommendations and equipment sourcing
- Post-installation support and warranty facilitation
3. Free Assessment
Our free home assessment is a no-obligation consultation. Scheduling an assessment does not create any contractual obligation to purchase or install any equipment or services.
During the assessment, our team will provide a project recommendation and quote. All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.
4. Quotes & Pricing
All prices quoted are based on the information gathered during the assessment. Final pricing is subject to change if site conditions differ materially from what was assessed, including but not limited to:
- Unexpected structural obstacles (walls, insulation, framing)
- Electrical panel upgrades required beyond standard scope
- Access difficulties (attic, crawl space, exterior routing)
- Changes to the scope of work requested by the customer
Any changes to the original quote will be communicated to and approved by the customer in writing before additional work proceeds.
5. Scheduling & Cancellations
Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice may result in a scheduling fee at our discretion.
Mountain MiniSplits reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, equipment delays, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you as soon as possible in such cases.
6. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in your written project agreement. Typical terms include:
- A deposit required to secure the installation date and order equipment
- Balance due upon project completion
Accepted payment methods will be specified in your agreement. Overdue balances may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month.
7. Warranty
Equipment Warranty: All equipment installed by Mountain MiniSplits carries the manufacturer's warranty. Mitsubishi Electric products typically include a 12-year parts warranty when registered by a Diamond Contractor.
Labor Warranty: Mountain MiniSplits warrants all installation labor for a period of 1 year from the date of installation. This warranty covers defects in workmanship. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, or acts of nature.

8. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth installation, the customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate information about the property during the assessment
- Ensure safe and unobstructed access to all work areas on the day of installation
- Ensure a licensed electrician has completed any required electrical work prior to installation (if applicable and agreed upon)
- Obtain any necessary permits, HOA approvals, or landlord permissions prior to scheduling (we can advise on what's required)

Mountain MiniSplits' total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Pre-existing conditions in the property discovered during installation
